How do I take care of my Birdbath in the winter? Cast stone pieces need to be properly taken care of when the weather begins to dip below freezing. Water can collection inside of the tops of bird baths if they are not winterized. We always suggest bringing your concrete birdbath indoors whenever possible. This will make sure that no winter damage can occur. When this is not possible, we suggest emptying the water from your birdbath top. Once the water is removed, the bird bath can then be covered with an absorbant material such as an old towel. It should then be covered with a water resistant covering such as a tarp. This tarp should be secured onto the bird bath to ensure it will not blow away. For additional care for your concrete bird bath be sure to review our Use and Care section.
