1808
The Egyptian Fountain, aka The Water Carrier Fountain at Rue de Sevres, Paris, original sculpture by Beauvallet. The statue was replaced in 1844 by sculptor Gechter.
1821
Kansas City, Missouri is founded. Goes on be called The City of Fountains, owing to its rich collection of public water features.

Fountain of the Palace in Louvois, Paris. Sculpted by Klagmann
1840
Fountains of Place de la Concorde, Paris. Sculptors: Brion, DeBay, and Desboeufs.

Moliere Fountain in Paris. Built on the site of a fountain originally built in 1671, sculpted by Seurre and Pradier.

Fountain at City Hall Park in New York. This fountain no longer exists.

Fountain of the Sacred Orators, Paris. Sculpture & Statuary by Lanno and Deuchere.

Osler's Crystal Fountain at the Crystal Palace, (via the Great Exhibition) in London. Relocated to Sydenham in 1854, consumed by a great fire in 1936.

Description of the great Fountain at Enville, in Stafforshire, England.

Gothic Revival Fountain at Streatham Green, London. Also completed this year was the Victoria Fountain at Victoria Park in Hackney, London, designed by Henry Darbishire.

The Fountain at Piazza Pia, in Rome. It was commissioned by Pope Pius IX in 1862

Observatory Fountain in Paris. Sculpture by Carpeaux, Legrain, and Villeminot.

Fountain at Chateau d'Eau, in Marseilles, France.

The Former "Fountain of the Sow" disappeared in Rome about this time.

Tyler Davidson Fountain, aka The Genius of the Waters or The Blessings of Water at Fountain Square in Cincinnati, Ohio. Sculpture by August von Kreyling.

Bethesda Fountain, aka Angel of the Waters at Central Park in New York. Sculpture by Emma Stebbins.

The Old Beacon Street Drinking Fountain in San Pedro, California.
1876
The Bartholdi Fountain in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United States Centennial Exhibition. Originally purchased by US Govt. in 1877 and installed at the Botanic Gardens in Washington, DC. In 1932, the fountain was moved to First & Independence Ave. in Washington, DC.

Trocadero Palace and Cascade Fountains at the Universal Exposition in Paris.
1880
Restoration of the Fountain of the Madonna dei Monti in the very busy Monti Piazza district of Rome, next to the Madonna dei Monti Church.
1884
Cogswell Fountains, installed at over twenty cities in the USA.
1886
Jet d'Eau, Geneva, Switzerland. Later updated in mid 1950's.
1888
Skidmore Fountain in Portland Oregon. Designed and sculpted by Olin L. Warner

Fountain of Progress aka Vessel of the City of Paris and Five Parts of the World at the Universal Exposition. Statuary by Coutan.

Columbian Fountain at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Sculpture by McMonnies. Also, the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain at Piccadilly Circus in London.

Court of Neptune Fountain at the Library of Congress Main Building in Washington, DC. Sculpted by Roland Hinton Perry.
1899
The Women’s Leadership Fountain of Kansas City, originally known as the 9th Street Fountain. The oldest fountain in the city still working.
