Over the years I have gathered together about two hundred different picnic activities. The list includes games that will suit any crowd. There are sedate sitting down games for older folks. And there are vigorous games in the nature of battles royal for robust men. There are games for children, for women only and for couples. The annual picnic, attended by the same group summer after summer, is going to drag about the third or fourth year unless the program gets a shot in the arm with variety.
