How They Operate
Hanging wall fountains are features that are designed to be placed on a wall. These fountains usually feature an indentation on the back of the fountain, or a specific hook, that can be used to hang a fountain on an outdoor wall or indoor wall. When using hanging wall fountains, it is important to make sure that the surface you are placing the wall fountain on is sturdy enough to hold the weight of the fountain. If you are unsure if the wall is able to hold the weight of the fountain, you should contact a landscaper or local hardware store to find anchors or other wall screws that would be best to place your fountain on. It is also very important to ensure that you hanging fountain is level. Making marks on an indoor or outdoor wall and then using a level to make sure the marks are level is the first step. After placing the screws in the wall and hanging your wall fountain, you should then check again to make sure that the fountain is still level. Ensuring the position of a wall fountain is very important because if it is unlevel, the water will not flow out of the fountain properly.
Caring for Hanging Wall Fountains
Wall Fountains are usually lighter in weight than other outdoor or indoor fountains. This allows you to un-mount your hanging fountain during freezing tempatures and store it until the weather reaches above freezing tempatures. Since hanging wall fountains are often a bit smaller, you should also check to make sure that the water within your hanging fountain is above the pump. Allowing the water to reach below the pump can cause a burning out of the pump. When water reaches below pump level, you can just add more water.
