- Clean with mild soapy water. Spray the dirty surface with water and wipe it with a soft cloth or sponge. Repeat until the planter is completely clean. Do not pressure wash, use alcohol-based cleaners, apply corrosive cleaners, or clean with anything abrasive.
- Freeze-thaw cycles in winter can cause water inside to freeze and expand, leading to cracks. It's best to store fountains in a dry location, away from the elements. If the fountain must remain outside, drain, clean, dry, and cover it before the first freeze.
